Talens varnish is specially designed for use on oil paints. With its high-gloss finish, this Talens 002 varnish will provide lasting protection for the Artist's work. It is composed of synthetic resins, turpentine and petroleum spirit. As a final varnish, it should be applied after the oil paint has fully dried, i.e. between 6 months and 1 year, depending on thickness. Varnish, on the other hand, dries in just a few hours and does not yellow over time. Dry coats of oil paint varnish can be removed with turpentine or petroleum spirit. Brush cleaning: turpentine or petroleum spirit Capacity of bottle of oil paint varnish: 75 ml. Did you know? Artists who wish to reduce the gloss level of Talens 002 varnish (very glossy!) can mix it with Talens 003 varnish.
